You keep the work. We shepherd the book.
The GrassMan standard agreement grants the press exclusive distribution, marketing, and reproduction rights for the term of the contract. Copyright in the work is retained by the author, always.
Rights reversion is built into every contract — if the press and the author agree it's time, the manuscript comes home.
